There are two types of people: proactive and reactive. Proactive people are driven by passion. They get passionate about something and they focus all their attention into it, and they achieve something. For example, you are passionate about drawing and painting, you sacrifice a lot of things, you pour all your time into it, and guess what? You become a great artist and you get some commissions. I mean, it’s not like you’re going to be the next Leonardo Da Vinci or Jackson Pollock, but hey, you make money at something that you’re passionate about.
Unfortunately, most people aren’t like that. Most people are on the other side of the equation. Most people are reactive. Reactive people will only do something if somebody lit a fire under their butts. In other words, you only get up off your ass when the rent payment is due. When you’re one day away from eviction, that’s when you put one foot in front of the other and start moving.
As fucked up as this may sound, this is the absolute truth because most people are reactive. Many people only manage to progress in life because their backs were against the wall. That’s a fucked up way to live. If you want to truly surpass yourself, you need to find opportunities in every single day and challenge yourself. Click here to find out more.
